I heard my husband's 3rd Japanese Album [T] ! Most of the songs in the album are consolidated from their Singles, other than 3 or 4 new ones. I love all the new songs espcially Trick!! Can't wait for it to hit music stores in Singapore!


Their voices are AMAZING;from left: Xiah, Micky, Jaejoong (blond hair), Yunho and Changmin. And their dance steps, INCREDIBLE. Ok, the choreographer is fanastic too. See, I'm not THAT bias. =)

The trip was swell! It doesn't matter where you go as long as the people you are with can make you smile. Hongkong-ers aren't actually as rude as I expected. They are actually quite nice! The pollution, however, is bad. I didn't really pay attention to it until the third day though.

Day 1
For some reason, I couldn't call Cooby through my phone because the area code and stuff was all messed up. So anyway, I did manage to contact her through the hotel phone. Featherbrained me, told her the right hotel, but the wrong location. She and Vins went to the one in Kowloon instead of the one in Mongkok! A thousand apologies!! First destination- Ladies Street! Its quite a long street, selling things from bath towels to toys to sunnies! I didn't get anything though. =x
We later grabbed a bite along the streets of Mongkok (MK) as shown in the previous post. Everything was deep fried! We had beef balls, Fishcake shaped in cubes, Chicken wings, small fish balls in a spicy sauce served in a styrofoam cup and smelly tofu! I tried smelly tofu for once! It tastes just like normal tofu and smells like the streets of Hongkong. Vins said they infuse the tofu in drain water, hence the smell. But he told me that as I was eating, but I thought, "oh well, the oil would have killed all the bacteria anyway".
After that, we continued to walk around Mongkok. Mongkok is SO GOOD for shopping! 4 or 5 small shopping centres similar to Icon on Bugis that are tiny! The shop can only contain 3 people max at one time. They are all within walking distance from each other so that was really good. I bought quite a few items from there. Awesome! We then had Sushi for dinner. It is similar to Sakae Sushi, but they have less variety and many different prices-starting from the cheapest at $1.50 to the most expensive at $6.50 and a huge list of drinks! I was so stuffed after dinner. We walked around MK and headed to The Peak.
The Peak as the name suggests is the peak of a mountain! I was told to sit on the left and in front to really experience the journey up. It was SO nerve-wreaking! The bus driver was driving pretty fast up a winding road up the mountain and the lanes weren't the widest! Many a times the bus went so near the curb I thought "One wrong move and we'll be thumbling down the mountain XXXX meters above sea level and become mash!" Vins said we don't have to go to Ocean Park, because the bus ride is scary enough. We took the escalator up to the peak, its something like 101 in Taiwan, the viewing deck is situated inside a shopping centre. The difference between the one in HongKong and the one in Taiwan is that Hongkong's viewing deck is outdoors. To feel the wind blowing on your face and seeing the lights and buildings of Hongkong as it is and not through a glass window makes all the difference. We later took the bus down, which was nauseating, and not that exhilarating. Day 1 concluded.

Day 2
We went to Yuen Long because Cooby didn't bring a change of clothes so she went back to take a shower first. Her family were really hospitable and sweet. =) We later headed to Hongkong Disneyland!
Stepping into Disneyland makes me feel all young again. It was a good day to go because the weather was being kind. We watched 2 shows The Golden Mickys and The Lion King. The singing of the Lion King was amazing, the actors and actresses voices were so rich. We later saw the Disney carnival along the streets of Disneyland, which was fun to watch. The fireworks were also beautiful espcially with the Sleeping Beauty/Cinderella castle as a backdrop. Simply breathtaking. We headed back to MK for dinner and ate at a cafe. Day 2 concluded.


Day 3
Shopping day!! We had brunch at a Dim Sum restaurant in MK. Its different from the one in Singapore only in terms of the type of food they serve. More authentic if you like. We later headed to Causeway Bay and walked around the Shopping centres. It was pretty good, 7 levels of shops! AWESOME! We later headed back to Yuen Long since Cooby wanted me to experience what Hongkong's BBQ was like. We later met up with Vins and Ken- Cooby's brother.
Hongkong's BBQ style is really unique. Its unlike our BBQ and totally unexpected. Picture this, a huge cement and gravel laid floor with white plastic tables and chairs, and beside it, a big tin laid with wire mash and charcoal. By means of illustration, the big tin looks like the tin we use to burn incense, except that it isn't as high. Food is buffet style chilled only by the temperature of the outside air, which isn't a place to go to if you are concern about hygiene. It was an experience because its unlike what we have back home. Oh yes, they serve bread as well, which Cooby and I barbecued. Taste like toast as expected. =)
We later hitched a ride from Cooby's cousin into the city because it was already 10 at night and if we had taken public transport, it would have taken us at least 1 1/2 hours. The cabs in Hongkong also have designated islands to stick to. Cabs from New Territory cannot cross to the other islands outside its vicinity. The cab fare is reasonable, starting figure is about HK$15 and the meter doesn't jump as fast! Vins and Cooby brought me to TST, and we walked along the banks of Hongkong on the "Red Carpet", hand prints and signatures of Hongkong celebrities, of Hongkong. It was really enjoyable. We later headed back to the hotel-tired and stinky. I didn't sleep until 3a.m that night, partly because Huan Huan Ai was showing on TV and I was distracted, but I didn't want to watch it because, well, it was the 2nd last episode and I havent seen the rest yet! Day 3 concluded.


Day 4
We had to wake up early because transport to the airport is at 12pm, and we planned to go to some food fair and buy Old Woman Biscuit! It was such a warm warm day!! Cooby probably didn't have enough sleep, and we took the train to MK because she thought the fair was at MK, only when she asked the control person did we realise it was at Prince Edward Station. Hence, we took the train back and walked for about 15 minutes to the fair-only to be disappointed because they had nothing but plants and dried seafood! My poor Cooby kept apologizing for wasting my time.
Due to time constraints, we took a Cab to MK and got the biscuit. I tried one and it tasted so lovely, partially because it was fresh and warm. I wanted to buy more, but I could only carry so much. We ate breakfast Hongkong style and waiting for transport to the airport. Checked in and HOME SWEET HOME!!

I wouldn't mind going to Hongkong again, but only during Winter because the weather will be sweltering!!

Yes, I get sleepy once the clock strikes 11. (according to my girlfriends, its when the clock strikes 8!!- that is so false.)

I just don't have the habit of staying up late, but my future occupation will render more late nights.
