I CAN FEEL SINGAPORE'S DECLINING BIRTH RATE!!
At the gathering at my house last night, there were only a handful of faithful CNY gatherers! Maybe its because traditionally, they come on Chu 1, not Chu Xi. But oh well! STILL. DECLINING BIRTH RATE!
I did my maths about this before, calculating how many future cousins I will have. Sadly, that did not materialize cause, well, most aren't married yet.

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama took power as the first black U.S. president on Tuesday and quickly turned the page on the Bush years, urging Americans to rally to end the worst economic crisis in generations and repair the U.S. image abroad.
I feel bad for Bush. He hasn't left office yet (at that time) and people have already labeled him the "worst president" ever, and his 8 years in office a failure. I mean, how can you blame an entire nation's mistake on only ONE person? I guess it comes with being one of the most powerful people in the world. Hopefully Obama will lift up to expectations and deliver what he promised to the people of the United States, as the rest of the world watch on.

I LOVE THEIR NEW SINGLE!!!
Ok, i say this for each of their singles, BUT THIS IS SO SO GOOD!! Their vocals improved so much! Espcially Micky and Yunho. Now they both do high notes and sing more rather then just rap.

HARARE (AFP) - - Zimbabwe unveiled a 100 trillion dollar note Friday in the latest grim measure of its staggering economic collapse, heightening the urgency of a new round of unity talks set for next week.
Veteran leader Robert Mugabe and opposition chief Morgan Tsvangirai are set to hold talks Monday with key regional leaders in a bid to salvage a four-month-old unity accord, which has yet to be implemented.
The stalemate over disputed elections last year has only fuelled the economic and humanitarian crisis that has impoverished the country, leaving nearly half the population dependent on food aid as a cholera epidemic sweeps the country.
The Reserve Bank announced in the government mouthpiece Herald newspaper a series of trillion-dollar denominations to keep pace with hyperinflation that has left the once-dynamic economy in tatters.
The new 100,000,000,000,000 Zim-dollar bill would have been worth about 300 US dollars (225 euros) at Thursday's exchange rate on the informal market, where most currency trading now takes place, but the value of the local currency erodes dramatically every day.
The move came just one week after the bank released a series of billion-dollar notes, which already are not worth enough for workers to withdraw their monthly salaries.
Inflation was last reported at 231 million percent in July, but the Washington think-tank Cato Institute has estimated it now at 89.7 sextillion percent -- a figure expressed with 21 zeroes.
When Mugabe took power at independence from Britain in 1980, the Zimbabwe dollar was equivalent to the British pound.
For years, the nation's farms, schools and health care were considered a model for Africa. Now 80 percent of the population is in poverty, 1.3 million are living with HIV, five million depend on food aid, and more than one million others have fled overseas.
A breakdown in basic sanitation and water has spawned a cholera epidemic that has killed 2,100 people since August and shows no sign of slowing.
Despite the ever-worsening crisis, Zimbabwe is locked in a political limbo following elections last March, when Tsvangirai won a first-round presidential vote and his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) seized a parliamentary majority for the first time.
The MDC victory was greeted with a wave of political attacks that Amnesty International says left more than 180 people dead -- mostly opposition supporters.
Citing the violence, Tsvangirai pulled out of a run-off election in June, allowing 84-year-old Mugabe to claim a one-sided victory condemend by western powers.
Former South African president Thabo Mbeki brokered a power-sharing deal signed September 15, but the rivals have yet to agree on how to form a unity government, while attacks and arrests of MDC members have continued.
Hoping to salvage the deal, South Africa's new President Kgalema Motlanthe plans to fly to Harare on Monday with Mbeki and Mozambican President Armando Emilio Guebuza to mediate new talks.
"They will focus their discussions on the outstanding matters in the implementation of the global agreement," Motlanthe's spokesman Thabo Masebe told AFP in Johannesburg.
Tsvangirai told reporters Thursday that he remained committed to the unity accord. "All I lack is a willing partner," Tsvangirai said.
But he said he was not willing for talks to drag on indefinitely.
"At some point we will have to decide whether it is worth going into this government or not," he said.

China trip photos from 昆明， 大理，丽江。 The entire trip went like this, we had to fly from 新加坡 to 昆明 (stayed 2 nights) and then take an internal flight from 昆明 to 大理 (stayed for 1 night) and then a coach from 大理 to 丽江 (stayed 3 nights). The trip back home went like this: Internal flight from 丽江 to 昆明 and then from 昆明 to Bangkok (曼谷） and from 曼谷 back to 新加坡.
It was a scenic trip so, most of the photos are scenic. Postcard perfect! I did fulfill my new year resolution! Took many many photos, just a selected few to share.
My thoughts on China? Toilets weren't as bad as I thought they will be, there was ONE that was HORRIBLE. Very primitive. I didn't take any photos cause, well, to be honest, I heard it from the others who went down to visit the loo. China boys can be quite cute. LMAO! I saw a few cute ones, even my tour guide (for 大理） is quite cute. Not in the handsome cute way, but in the cute-english-speaking way. He's not handsome, he's cute!
The photos are all over, I didn't bother posting them according to days. Truth is, I can't really remember where I went. Lol. They were in Chinese, Chinese names are hard to remember!!
Mahjong!! Lol. The way they play it varies from province to province. They play without 青蕟，白板，红中，animals and 东，南，西，北。 Makes you wonder how they earn money.
Bone Marrow. They gave us a straw (to such the marrow) and gloves to eat it. Interesting!
Hideous amount of oil! I skimmed 1 cup full of oil! Anyway, the oil is suppose to keep the soup warm. There is a tale behind it. This tribal lady had to deliver food to her husband who works far away from home. When food reaches her husband, they always turn cold before he can eat it, so, she discovered that by adding alot of oil, the soup actually keeps warm until it reaches her husband. Sam Sam and one aunty were wondering if the husband got a heart attack from drinking that much oil. Haagen Daz at 昆明! They have BreadTalk in昆明!! Kids sucking on sweets that look like Cigarettes. Local cigarettes only cost SGD$2. Now you know why so many China people smoke.

Huge vegetables!! Toilet without door. Lol. Its relatively clean, like most toilets in China, just that they smell alot.

Outside Scream Park. Its like SJAB's Ghost Tunnel, just that it makes you very dizzy with all the flashing lights inside (it was suppose to mimic Prison Break) and 3D effects. Not scary, but it does have a BOO! factor, e.g. "actors" suddenly coming up to you. Xuan and I agreed our SJAB Ghost Tunnel was more scary.
